Community Education Centers(CEC) is a leading provider of residential and outpatient community corrections programs.  Working in over 100 locations across the U.S., we provide a foundation of support to change addictive and criminal behaviors and effectively prepare our residents for community reintegration.  With programming that encompass assessment, drug and alcohol education, and education services for juvenile and adult populations. • Maintain and document resident’s weekly progress notes, monthly reports, attendance records, GED attendance and progress and other required information regarding the resident.
• Completes resident ASI assessment and develops individual program plans. Ensures plans have measurable objectives.
• Complete training required to maintain licensure in New Mexico.
• Ensure that all clients are aware of area of responsibility to satisfactorily complete each phase of the program.
• Job skills/social training and job placement assistance for residents.
• All program files are in compliance with agency standards.
• Prepare disciplinary and incident reports. Reports should be legible, concise, and state clearly the reason for the report.
• Documents communication with Probation and Parole and other agencies.
• Deal with emergency situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Assure residents accountability to program group and performance standards.
• Assist resident in the understanding standardized requirements to satisfactorily complete performance based treatment plans for each phase, assist in the development of their discharge and aftercare plan.
• Facilitate classes and group psycho-social groups as defined by curriculum, including Substance Abuse/ Prevention skills, Anger management/ Thinking errors groups utilizing Cognitive Behavioral and Modeling approaches to develop pro-social behaviors and a sober lifestyle.
• Completes family orientation and educates families on addiction and criminal thinking.
• Facilitate and monitor the therapeutic living environment to maintain that residents are in compliance with all program rules and regulations
• Provide individual counseling for resident. Family counseling is provided when appropriate.
• Work closely with Daycare staff to ensure any issues are addressed.
• Maintain clinical records in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Conduct progress reviews to include: participate in treatment team meetings, formulate and present periodic reviews, phase up testing and changes, and monthly program reports as requested by Probation and Parole.
